Orchestra Parents and Students,
The Greek philosopher Hesiod
said, “It will not always be summer,” and then he adds, “build barns.” We are tempted to let the slowness of summer (or its heat) to allow us to float through the days reserving our effort for the fall. I recommend you take the opportunity of time this summer to concentrate not on building barns but on the etudes, on concerti, on scales and any of the material that was issued last May. I look forward to returning to school this fall, getting to know the freshmen and new students and being surrounded by all you wonderful parents and students that are returning to AHS Orchestra.
